At this year’s Noc Anglistów, Kamil Malarski and Magdalena Wrembel gave a joint presentation (with Zuzanna Cal and Tristan Czarnecki-Verner) titled: “Exploring multilingualism: young researcher’s toolkit for investigating speech, perception, the brain, and society”. In addition describing experiments in phonetics, neurolinguistics and sociolinguistics, this interactive presentation introduced the idea of multilingualism, discussed its meaning, evaluated listeners self-assessments of their status as multilingual speakers, and emphasised the importance of multilingualism as a spectrum of language familiarity.
